Pernah suatu hari, darjah 3 rasanya. Minta izin ummi nak mandi kolam dekat tingkat bawah. Ummi tak izinkan.

Berbekalkan keazaman dijiwa, semangat memberontak membuak, dengan muka bengis memasuki bilik, kau tukar baju mandi rembat pelampung, capai kunci rumah, kau keluar rumah senyap-senyap.

Rasa macam dah besar sangat. Gua boleh mandi sendiri la...

Balik rumah tengok ummi dah kunci pintu pagar. Menangis kau basah-kuyup situ sorang-sorang minta nak masuk rumah. Padan muka...

Kadang confident kita itu tak menjamin ketepatan keputusan kita.

Masa kecil dulu rasa kena denda kat sekolah tu macam main-main ja, sebab kena denda kat rumah tu lagi dasyat.

Kalau abah masuk bilik, dia sebut 'Ya... Allah...' semua menggelabah. Kelam-kabut cari ampaian nak menyorok belakang baju.

Malangnya, ummi tak basuh baju hari tu.

How to put this?

Benci tahap dewa kalau enjin kereta tak boleh start, kerana ia membantuti segala plan kau untuk cuti musim panas itu.

Gumbira tak terkata kalau enjin tak boleh start, kerana ia bermaksud sesi abah bersama anak sulungnya repair kereta bermula :)
